Easy Drill Hand Auger

The Easy Drill hand auger is a robust mechanical drill, that can be used to drill perfectly aligned holes through wooden poles. Different size drill bits can be used.

The drill is manufactured from mild steel and consist of a solid base with a tube, that act as a sleeve for the drill bit. A quick release handle is fitted to the threaded bush to allow for easy operation.

The cross plate with chain and fastening mechanism is secured to the base.  The feet or stands are fitted at the bottom of the base.

Inserting the drill bit:
• Insert the desired size drill bit, with the threaded side first into the sleeve, at the bottom of the base.
• Push the threaded rod through the threaded bush while pressing the quick release handle.
• Secure the rod to the drill handle and lock with the extra nut supplied.

Drilling:
• Hold the drill with the feet or stands against the wooden pole. Pull the chain around the wooden pole and insert the chain into the gap at the cross plate.
• Secure the drill to the pole by turning the wingnut on the fastening mechanism clockwise until the drill can stand firmly against the pole on its own.
• Turn the drill handle clockwise with a smooth and consistent action until the drill bit protrude at the back of the wooden pole.
• For easier operation ensure that the threaded rod is properly oiled.

• Length: +/-200mm
• Width: +/-200mm
• Height: +/-370mm (+/-700mm (with drill bit inserted))
• Weight: +/- 4kg (with drill bit)
• Drill Bit Sizes: 10mm, 12mm, 13mm, 16mm, 19mm, 22mm, 25mm
• Wooden pole sizes that can be drilled: 50mm - 250mm

• Clean the Easy Drill with a moist cloth after use.
• Regularly oil threaded rod and other moving parts.
• Ensure that sleeve and threaded bush are free from debris (sand and small rocks) before use.

• Be careful when handling the drill bits as the points are very sharp.
• Ensure that no parts of the body are pressing against the wooden pole where the drill bit is about to protrude.
• Warn bystanders or helpers not to put their hands or any part of their body against the pole where the drill is about to protrude.
• When handling the Easy Drill, ensure a firm grip to prevent the machine from falling and causing an injury.

Ladder Grip

The Ladder Grip is a mechanical grip that is fitted on to an extension ladder and is used to secure the ladder to a wooden, concrete or steel pole by means of a ratchet and strap.

The Ladder Grip is manufactured from 6082 aluminium which is of very light but strong material.
The grip consist of two jaws, a backplate and a front plate which is fitted together with a sliding mechanism. Two skids allow for perfect alignment against the pole.
The pulling mechanism consist of a ratchet and a strap and is secured to the sliding mechanism by means of a cable. The pulling mechanism is cleverly designed to allow for any movement on the extension ladder and the ratchet is protected by a ratchet guard.

The ladder with the fitted Ladder Grip must be extended to the desired length. Ensure that the bottom of the ladder is placed on firm, level ground to prevent slipping. (The stabilizer can be used if the ground is uneven).
Push the Ladder Grip against the pole. The skids on the grip will ensure perfect alignment of the jaws and the pole.
Tighten the jaws of the grip by means of the ratchet.
Make sure the grip is properly secured to the pole before climbing on the ladder.
After using the ladder, the grip can be released by releasing the ratchet. The jaws will be released with the spring in the sliding mechanism.

• Length: 320mm
• Width: 320mm
• Height: 140mm
• Weight: 1.386kg

• Pole size that the grip can be used on: 50mm - 270mm

• Clean Ladder Grip with moist cloth.
• Make sure moving parts are free from debris.
• Inspect the Ladder Grip regularly to ensure all parts are in good working order and not bended.
• Pay special attention to jaws to ensure that a good grip is obtained.
• Inspect straps and ratchet to ensure that the grip is tightened properly.

• Replace the Ladder Grip when bended or when jaws are not gripping due to wear and tear.
• If straps and ratchet are not working properly, the desired grip will not be obtained.

Pole Stamper

The Pole Stamper is a simple but practical stamper that is used to compact the ground when a pole is planted in a hole.

The Pole Stamper is manufactured from mild steel and consist of a shaped base, cut out of 50mm plate and a solid 25mm round bar that is used as a handle.

The base is shaped so that the stamper can fit easily between the pole and the solid ground into the hole to ensure proper compacting of the ground. The weight of the stamper is between 8kg and 9kg which allows for easy use and proper compacting.

Place the stamper with the curved side against the pole in the hole where the ground must be compacted. Stand on firm ground and use both hands to lift the stamper to the desired hight. Let the handle slip through the hands to fall on the loose ground that must be compacted. Move around the pole and repeat the process until the ground is firmly compacted. If better compaction is required the stamper can be put down on the ground with force.

Base:
• Length: +/- 200mm
• Width: +/- 50mm
• Height: +/- 50mm

Handle:
• Length: +/- 1450mm
• Diameter: 25mm

Total Length: +/-1500mm
Total Weight: 8.9kg

No maintenance required.

• Be careful not to put the stamper down on your own or anybody else's foot as it will result in injury.
• Be careful not to bump your hand against the pole when compacting the ground. It is strongly advised to use gloves when using the stamper.
